Rescuing, Rehabilitating & Releasing Wildlife in Nottinghamshire
Cedar Wildlife Sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned wildlife in Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas.
Help Us Save LivesCedar Wildlife Sanctuary is a registered charity (Charity No: 4027960) based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottingham. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing British wildlife back into their natural habitats [[1]].
Our team of dedicated volunteers works tirelessly to care for injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife from across Nottinghamshire and surrounding counties [[2]]. Each year, we help hundreds of animals in need, from hedgehogs and birds to foxes and deer.
Our sanctuary provides a safe and nurturing environment for animals to recover before they are released back into the wild. For those animals that cannot be released, we offer them a permanent home where they are provided with the highest standards of care.
We also operate educational programs to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and how we can all help to protect our native species.
We rescue and care for injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife. Our goal is to rehabilitate these animals and release them back into their natural habitats whenever possible.
Cedar Wildlife Sanctuary also offers pet boarding services, providing a safe and comfortable environment for your pets while you're away [[3]] [[4]].
We offer educational visits and events to raise awareness about wildlife conservation and animal welfare [[6]]. Our Ashplorers program allows visitors to learn about wildlife rehabilitation.
We rescue many hedgehogs each year, particularly during autumn and winter when they struggle to find food.
Injured and orphaned fox cubs are regularly brought to our sanctuary for rehabilitation and release.
From owls to hawks, we rehabilitate birds of prey that have been injured or fallen from nests.
In partnership with L 'N' D Exotics, we also help rescue and rehome exotic species [[3]].
We rely entirely on donations and the generosity of the public to continue our vital work. There are several ways you can help:
